Ok, we had to wait for the match of the weekend till today, but regarding that Chelsea and Manchester City played in it, it wasn't to hard... :) Luckily for me - as I'm a Juventus fan (but admire English football) - Chelsea won. Yes, Lamps scored the winner.
On Saturday, MUFC replied marvelously after the Champions League blunder, but it was not all good at Old Trafford. According to some of you, a tree could do just as much as Kiko Macheda (in terms of 'a first touch' that is). Luckily for United Wayne Rooney scored and got behind Ryan Giggs... Yes, he scored firstly! You perverts...
Anyway, Arsenal have been doing incredibly well despite the fact they've put all their hopes about driving towards the top of the league on Reliant Robin.
The first Sunday's match was huge! Sunderland (deservedly winners) welcomed Steve Kean's Blackburn with a new manager in charge. Martin O'Neill. It was so big of a game that it proved Messiah is just an imaginary character (well, for at least an hour or so...). And congrats to tweeps! You made it even bigger and, mostly, funnier!
In other matches of this round Norwich won against Newcastle due to a man headbutting bees, Clint Dempsey learned about bad karma, Chris Foy ended THFC's unbeaten run and more. Fact of the day? Jordi Gomez is a prick! Oh, and a reminder for the clubs in search of a new manager! Two words: Owen Coyle! Success and beauty - all guaranteed!
Now it's time to explain (again), what this blog is all about. As I wrote the last few times: You won't find any detailed experts' analysis here. You won't find complete scoresheets either. But you'll find a good banter, juicy comments about the game, the clubs, the players, the refs, the goals... Maybe you'll find some useful info/opinion for a football chat in your favourite bar...
Namely, football is a global sport, so is the English Premierleague. It is followed by a huge number of a-round-ball-loving enthusiasts, journos, players and managers themselves... I hear football is also more and more popular in the US of soccer... :)
